Honda to focus on SUVs and EVs in India

Honda's decision to focus on SUVs and EVs in India is based on the fact that these two segments are the fastest-growing in the Indian automotive market. In recent years, SUV sales in India have grown at a rate of over 20% per year. EV sales are also growing rapidly, although they still account for a relatively small share of the overall Indian automotive market.

Honda is already selling a number of SUVs in India, including the CR-V, HR-V, and WR-V. The company is also planning to launch new SUV models in India in the coming years, including the Elevate and the ZR-V.

Honda is also planning to launch EVs in India in the coming years. The company has already announced that it will launch an electric version of the Elevate SUV in India within the next three years. Honda is also developing other EVs for the Indian market.

Honda's focus on SUVs and EVs in India is part of the company's global strategy to shift to a more electrified lineup. Honda has announced that it aims to have two-thirds of its global sales come from electrified vehicles by 2030.
